Give up
My 4 year quest for a 1993 NX2000 5-speed *with* T-tops (with no rust) is about over. This is going to be my last SR20 powered car I believe. since I've seen 1 NX1600 in person in the last 2 years. I check Craigslist all the time and nope. Usually a 91 1.6. Or rusted to crap.

It has to be a 93 and has to be T-tops and manual. Stock or mods doesn't matter.

Ahh well. It will likely be the only U.S. SR20 powered car I never own.

You win some you lose some. Nissan wise I've had:

-91 SE-R (sold to buy 98 SE)
-91 SE-R (deaded)
-92 SE-R (have now VVL)
-93 SE-R (sold due to rust)
-93 SE-R (spun rod bearing after 2 weeks)
-93 XE (sold for 91 SE-R)
-94 LE (great daily driver, sold for cheap)
-97 200SX SE-R (sold 1 year ago today, great daily driver)
-98 Sentra SE (sold in 2006 b/c I never drove it and lost interest
-99 Sentra SE-L (parted out last few months)
-05 Sentra 1.8S (current B15)
-06 Pathfinder LE (traded for Ford Escape b/c of 14mpg)

So yeah if I was going to find an NX by now I think I would have, lol. I wanted a '02 G20 instead of the '05 B15 but it didn't work out. No NX's for me.. hold onto them guys..

If you are keeping to your local area, no wonder you won't find one. I learned long ago that in order to find a clean rust free NX, you have to be willing to travel to a rust free zone. ...but with their rarity factory (and lack of them in yards for parts), we gave up on the idea of one for a track car long ago.

I like the huge yard availability of parts (especially body panels) on standard b13 Sentra, b14 (even b15), p10 and now more so p11 as well in comparison.

It just doesn't make sense for us to get an NX with such a lack of them in yards is the bottom line for us.

^ totally agree with you there, lost count how many times I've not just walked away but RAN away from cars that were supposedly good but complete dog doo in person. (what someone says is great, isn't necessarily great in person)

Took me 2 years to find a clean G20 in PA.

Took me 6 years to find a gem of a B13 SE-R in PA.

They exist but are so few and far between, the wait would be shortened if you went somewhere less salty.

I will say that PA has probably the most barn finds of great condition cars than any other state also.

Everytime I get a quote for shipping ($500 usually) from like Florida, at the last minute I say no because there's too many possible things and like Chris said, what one person considers good another may consider bad. Right now I'd consider any rust on a B13 bad, because I have none on mine. But someone who has mild rust on his B13 may think that's good.. it can go either way.

NX2000 w/ a DE-T at night in July, with the T-tops open (my friend's car) - so much fun. So cozy in there. And you feel low but can see the sky and its summer and everything is alive. That's almost how I felt in my short lived Miata ownership, a sense of being free at night (I only drove with the top down at night) - that boosted NX was amazing

Ya, no rust is good rust. And both of those aforementioned cars have no rust. One lived down south and re-located north and the other never went south of the Mason Dixon line into gray coat territory.

If you really want it, and you have waited or searched for four years, keep waiting. I have looked at two NX2000s in those 6 years finding a B13 and both were beat.

I'll keep looking for sure.

;93 red NX T-tops 5 speed with no rust, already with an intake/header/exhaust/S4 cams would be perfect. I saw a 93 like this with an intake but auto once

Why 93? Pretty sure every 93 I've seen was a t-top btw.

We have nicer NX's in our junkyards than some states have on the road I bet. Seems like there are always 1-5 for sale in OR/WA.

1991 Nissan NX2000 (sr20de) needs work

That one has been posted for like a month. Cant believe how little love there is for these cars.

If that car was a 92-95 Si it would have sold for $2k on the first day. Almost ANY car made 91-93 will sell for as much or more than an NX.
