My NX updates
Well, it turns out that the perceived downgrade from CSK (Konis) to AGX rear struts has worked out nicely for me. The AGX/hyperco combo is very compliant and smooth. If you're considering this combo, ignore the Koni hype. The AGX setup is a worthy alternative.

I traced most of the rear end clunking to the 3" exhaust tubing banging against the underbody, especially near the gas tank. I replaced the worn-out rubber hangers with longer, stiffer (not urethane) hangers for better clearance.

The most dramatic improvement was a tire upgrade from Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 to 205/50/15 Yokohama Advan Neova AD08. WOW!!! What a tire. Steering feel and dry traction is awesome.

Enjoy the pics!

Dean

Dean, I just put my set up on last month and love it so far. Got to autox test them and they worked just as well as my coilover setup. Only drawback im getting is bumpsteer. You having any issues with that?

First, thanks for the compliments guys.

gumby,

Not noticing any bumpsteer. Maybe because I have Koni yellows in the front and brand new tie rod ends. Man, the steering feel with the Advan Neova AD08 is wonderful!

Super clean.

While I'm not s super fan of AGX I don't hate on it like some others. My GC/AGX is doing me solid for now.

Thanks for that great shot of the rear suspension. My muffler is taking up space where my Progress rsb should go and I have been looking high and low for a shot like this.

Thanks, Benito. Glad the pictures helped. I had a really hard time understanding the progress sway bay instructions. Also, it turned out that most of my rear suspension "clunking" was from the 3" exhaust hitting the gas tank.

Wow... Wish my NX was that clean. Up here in WI the salt just eats everything, but I digress. Nice work!
