Indeed Chris, you know me well.
Ian I put together my exhaust using this:
http://www.sr20-forum.com/200sx-se-r/32739-b14-aftermarket-exhaust-kit-system-choices-direct-bolt.html
All those links lead directly to B14 stuff, but the B13 stuff is just a click from there.
I believe the Vibrant stuff is the best affordable stuff out there, Magnaflow is not bad either. You want the most resonator you can stuff under there, and a quiet, low-key exhaust.
My exhaust ended up a bit strange, but that is because I was dealing with RoadKill....er...Overkill. I have an SSAC header feeding the old-style SSAC 2" secondaries, into my cat, an 18" Magnaflow resonator, and the Vibrant Stealth Black Muffler 1146 exactly like I sold to Chris. Everything after the secondary is 2.5" in and 2.5" out.
My system is a bit louder on my bolted-on DE than I would like. Get nothing but compliments, it's very good, but I'd like a little less volume from 4K on up. Below 4K is very quiet and deep.
So, for you....
I'd go with the VRS piping kit. Contact LikeTheMovies. I am not sure how VRS does it, but I got my exhaust (from OEM) and it was a bolt-on affair at Mike My Mechanics shop. Easy as pie.
For resonators you could go with the 1793 that Chris posted (was originally intended for my vehicle). Chris is turbo, I'm confident he's gonna be just fine with the single 1793 resonator.

Your other option is the 1141 Ultra Quiet Resonator. Which for NA is very appealing. It is not much of a financial difference.

Your final option is two (2) of the 1141 Ultra Quiet's back to back. Which is probably more than you need NA DE.
However, when I go VVL (very, very loud), I am staying 2.5". Getting the bigger 2.5" SSAC secondary, cat, going with two (2) of the 1141's back to back like Martin did on MotoIQ. Feeding my existing 1146 Stealth Black Muffler. I am not going 3", no way, no how. Too freaking loud.
Step by step what MotoIQ did on the VE.
How to Build a Stainless Exhaust with Vibrant Performance
For you I'd go:
Header, secondary > cat > 1793 bottle or 1141 Ultra Quiet resonator(s) > 1146 Stealth Black Muffler.
2.5" in/out all the way.
Done.
Hope that helps,
