Thread: what to look for in a used nx (update with pics)

500$ with a blown sr20det and lsd trans, it has je pistons and eagle rods/ported head, jim wolfe ecu, and a brand new carbon fiber hood in box, i figure i can sell off the piston rods and head for that, the body is solid, the paint is a little beat but its pretty straight, for 500$ i feel like i can go wrong, the hood was that much new, worst part in my opinion is that theres mice poo everywhere in the interior, looks like ill be gutting this one.... but i plan on picking it up early next week (my spring brake) and having it running by the end of it just gonna get a stock NA de from a salvage place and slap the turbo on it since thats the jim wolfe ecu they had

thanks guys, i had one before, and I'm a fabricator by trade and an automotive student, i think the hardest part will be finding where bolts go and little stuff like that.

I mean sell what you have to to make your money back on tue car. But be cautious about what you sell cause you may need it and wind up having to buy it again...which will be hustling backwads.

already looking to upgrade trans, cams, injectors, MAF, etc., from the bare minimum that ive collected...and the damn car aint even running yet! haha!

- a-pillar/door jamb rust
- rear fender well/strut tower rust
- rust behind the side skirts
- rust on lower hatch glass corner area
- leaking t-tops

i THINK that should cover the majority.

rust there usually means rust elsewhere too. Seems like you got a good deal though at 500.
