How good are the Tokico Blues for the B13?
I read the suspension forum and they rate the AGXs but not the Tokico Blues? Does any one run them and how do they like them for their b13 chassis? I run the d specs on my 240 but realize they do not make them for the b13 chassis but am interested in keeping the stock ride height and they look like a great choice since they are 330 delivered. I may do a little autox in the NX but nothing too serious.

appreciate it guys.

thanks for the reply -- the Nissan strut shocks would be 400-500 dollar so this looks like a great alternative since they are probably made by them anyway. I know EXEDY makes Nissan clutches. I assume you will need to replace the rubber seals and what not in the shock struts once you start to rebuild them.

How much do the tokickos cost? Dont miss out on an opportunity to upgrade buying stock stuff when you can def upgrade for close to the same price most likely. Look into Kyb gr-2's or even the KYB AGX's if you havent yet. I love my AGX combo with my spring setup. Although if I had the money for the springs and struts new at one time I wouldve just gotten some progress's...

*edit* Just saw the price. THe KYB AGX's are prob only like $100 more. And you get adjustability and a shock that can handle stiffer springs if you were to ever want to upgrade later. I love these cars cause if you plan/think everything out on them you dont really wid up speding much money. But you end up with a car thats fast as fuck and handles pretty damn good!

Think it out

well I do not like lowered vehicles and the NX is low enough as it is. I think I do like the firmer ride of the new shocks but the coils can stay the same.

If it were me,I would just spend the little extra for AGXs and run them on the stock springs,if you dont want the car lowered.
It will be adjustable, and probably last forever.
Just my .02
Also,if you change your mind and lower the car later down the road, the AGX will be up to the task, where OEM,GR2 or Tokico blues will not.

I for sure love my d spec shocks they are strong for sure. Are the AGX shocks infinity adjustable or only in 4 steps or what? where can you get them for the best price?

wish they made D specs for the B13 chassis

oh and the blues are 330 and the agxs are like 530 that is a BIG difference are they really worth that much more. I ran the agx on a Honda and really was not overall impressed with them.

AGXs are 4 way front 8 way rear adj.Try ebay for new.If you look hard enough hey can be had for like 450,I think.
You can usually get a pretty good deal on used ones here in our classifieds too.

I have no need for them really and like Tokicos better -- think they might even be OEM Japan Nissan shocks since Tokico makes a lot of them for there cars and I have better luck with them. Plus 200 dollars less is nice.

anyone here have them, I think the HP Blues are a newer shock for the b13?

I gave my blues away when I upgraded to the agx,, and I love the way mine sits on the hyperCo gen II's , stock just won't cut it for me anymore,,

Can't wait to get my hardtop back out and maybe start on it with mainly the suspension,,, the rest can ride out stock for awhile,.,

good luck on your decision
