Many of the previous posts have already echoed features which make the NX2000 unique, fun to drive and especially roadworthy.
Here's what I like:
As cars go, the T tops put the NX in another league.
You can be in the fastest set of wheels on earth, but if your top doesn't come off on a nice day, well you're in a box and just missing it.
What's nice about the NX is that with the T''s out wind noise is low and you don't get beat up by the breeze.
The NX2000 also has a genuine racing pedigree. That terrific engine, smooth shifting transmission and independent rear suspension combined to make it the one to beat in the SCCA Showroom Stock Class back in the day.
I like that it's still fun for track days in the warm weather and can still hold it's own in the winter, as well. And there are plently of options for adding power. I like that I can carry a full set of track tires with me and still have room for my other track gear. Try that with a Miata or anything else that also has a top that opens.
No question these are fun, reliable cars providing decent fuel economy and a profile you don't see coming around the corner. Almost a rare car today and for the most part overlooked and still discounted by many.
Perhaps that's just as well.
We all here because we knew a good thing when we saw it, right?
