I put a JDM motor in for a buddy of mine. The car was his daily driver and he lives in Nashville.
The car had EVERY bolton and had S4s. I left the JDM intake on.
The first time he went he failed emissions. We bumped the timing down to 14 degrees and is passed with flying colors.
I have also heard of people running Fuel Pressure Regulators and turning the fuel pressure down and passing emissions.
