Here is the RSTB, nice and simple. As you can see I modified my strut tower brackets a bit from the previous picture.




I then started on the extra bracing in back. First I welded in a piece of 3/16 thick flat stock between the square tubing.


Then I figured out the angle I would have to cut my round tubing so it would sit flat.




After the angles were cut I tacked it to the strut bar mounting point and the bracket which gets bolted to the floor.


The bracket will sit on top of the new floor and be bolted down with the sub frame bolt.


Tomorrow I will finish up the other cross bar as well as figure out a way to branch it to the front bolts.

I just need to tie it into the front bolts yet besides painting it and its done.


The rest of my Boom Mat finally came in so I finished that up. Installed the clutch pedal and started running the dash harness as well.

looking good Nick, thats what i was thinking with the rear. Tie in all of the mounting points and the strut towers.

so what else you got left man. seems to be comming along nice. i finished up my lil turbo project

I decided to work on my fuel cell today since it will probably take a week to get it back from a shop.

Hacked the filler tube down so I can connect my line to it and run it to the inside.


Here is the hose I will be using which needs to be cut down and angled yet. I'm just holding the fuel cell in to let you guys get an idea of what it will look like.


I modified the NX stock fuel pump/sender unit so it fits in the fuel cell. It was almost the same diameter (bit larger) as the hole where the filler neck bolted to the fuel cell. I just used a dremel to trim it so it would fit in the hole and make the extra slots for the bolts.


Here is the factory fuel pump bracket that goes down with in the tank. I will be mounting it in the bottom of the fuel cell to hold the pump in place. You will need to extend your hoses and wiring so the pump will fit the new depth.


Also your fuel gauge will be off unless you modify your floater to be more exact. Now I called JB weld today and asked them if using JB-Weld would work for mounting the plastic piece inside the aluminum tank. They said JB-Weld will hold the plastic to the aluminum and gas will not eat away at it either. So at the moment I will probably do it that way unless I come up with a different idea.


I'm dropping it off at a shop tomorrow to weld on a new filler neck as well as a inlet which will be my vent line. They will also hack off and weld shut the fill, return (with line going down in the tank) & roller over vent fittings that came on the fuel cell.

There is a decent amount left to do. I need to finish welding up the sub frame brackets and bolting it in place once my new bolts arrive. Inside needs to be put back together, rstb and engine mount need to be painted, fuel cell needs to be mounted, new rear floor, extend wiring and hoses for fuel pump, make new rear sway bar brackets to fit nx sway bar, install pulley kit and maybe oil pump, modify a section in the engine bay for some more clearance, make my down pipe and exhaust, install braided brake lines for calipers and repair my broken brake line. There some other small stuff do but thats all I can think of at the moment.

I had a spare set of tail lights laying around so I decided to give it a shot at tinting them. I used smoke color spray tint for lenses.

It turned out all right but I will probably pay someone to redo it since i'm not overal happy with the result. They should looks tits on the car thou in my opinion.

^^^ just wetsand and polish them,and they will look great with some gloss.
I dont like the dull look,either.
After all the fabrication,and other things you accomplished here,you should be able to fix them up ....piece of cake!!

They look good from a distance but up close it doesn't look smooth enough and a bit dull in my opinion. Thats also with clear sprayed over the tint.

dang u still got a ways to go! im having a lil bit of small issues myself but nuthing to bad. hood cough cough lol
