i dont think you should have power on both sides of the fuse. possible short to batt.

That's what I was thinking.. but the battery is in the rear so the electrical is a lil different. So what do you think would cause the ignitor and coil to get hot while cranking but not fire? Maybe I cooked the ecu somehow... wish I had a spare just to see.

Im not sure if those codes were set while it was running in the other car or not...

How about these codes, you know what they are?

ill find out what the codes are tomorow. the coil and ignitor getting hot sounds like short to batt on ground side or bad ground.

Ok, thanks! Im pretty sure the knock sensor code is from a partialy melted sensor when it was in the other car, plus the original harness I started out with in this car was "tucked" and the knock sensor plug was MIA.

Ignition signal...should I swap out my ignition and dash harness? Thanks again axion4888!

Also, could installing the ecu with battery connected fry/short ecu? And... I know, I know..so much crap.. I unpluged the ignitor with the key on and got a quick spark...could that have messed up the ignitor? I just don't want to fix the original problem and not know it cus it wont start cus I screwd up the ignitor.

Man George, electrical problems are awful. I think it probably has something to do with the battery relocation. Somethin seems fishy with how that was done. Check all of those connections. Got a spare ecu? Maybe that would help idk

Hey dave! Its been a while! Well this car is my old one I had back when you picked up that coil from me yrs ago.. so the battery has always been in the trunk, before and still. I don't have a spare ecu but its in the works. Thanks for the input bud!

I think that that coil is melted because your not saposed to have voltage at the top of the coil unless it's firing and that's a lot more than 12 volts lol.

Yeah I don't get it either... I swapped out the coil with one I knew was good and still nothing, so I put the original back on. Im at a loss right now, hopefully axion4888 can come thru tomorrow and work some magic cus im stumped and fet up with this thing. I just pulled the covers off the ecu to see if something looked cooked but nothing, all looked normal... idk
