Slow and sure is the way to go i used high gear as well to move around. I hit a curb yesterday and it carved out about 2 1/2 gash on the rim lip complimentents of a taxi dead stopping in from of me in the snow

lol i was countersteering outta some turns lol and i felt like a drift king

I have dedicated snows on my daily driver, my wife's car, and my daughter's car. Once you run full winter tires on all 4 corners of your car, you'll never go back to anything less.

A set of 14" snows on steelies is going to cost less than your insurance deductible. Remember that next time you're sliding into a ditch.
