ok.. so here's the screen shot..

I talked to John, and he felt pretty confident that it should be at 15 degrees.. but the Final IGN is showing up at 3 degrees.

@OnTheChip... are you a JK affiliate?

mind=blown

I'm totally confused now. I get where 3* comes from now for the final ing value (ign map - idle trim), but 3* base crank timing doesn't make sense.

Go to your idle tab. Click on idle error. This table pulls timing based on RPM ERROR. Your data screen is showing a target rpm of 900 and an actual idle of 1038. A 138 rpm deviation. My table pulls 4 degrees at 25 rpm. You need to look at your correcting your idle issue.

Btw, your tps voltage should not be reading 1%. And this can cause and issue with the idle recovery too. If you are having problems with this, idle recovery will fuck you all up. I'm not being mean, I still have issues with it now and again.

JK and I are partners. John wrote the NismotronicSA software that runs on your laptop, I wrote the TunerCodeSA firmware that runs on your ECU.

I'm working on getting the stock SR20VE ignition timing values from a N15/WP11 SR20VE 23710-5J000 ECU.

I'm having a similar issue when even after warm up, my car idles high and it pulls back timing.I haven't taken no new logs as of late and I know I need to do so. Final IGN value would sit and hover around 5* albeit under set timing mode it's set to 15* with a timing light and locked in on my CAS. Car would idle around 12-1300 rpm although target idle rpm is 1000rpm.

ps: i'm on Nismotronic SA!

put the car in timing mode and play with the screw on the iacv an see if that helps, also look into your idle tables

Also, we need to know what conditions are set. Uploading a log at idle will help here. Maybe a drive around your neighborhood. Upload it here so some of us with a little more experience can take a look at what is going on. I suspect a number of thing is going on.

It looks like the tools/set timing thing has been deprecated and/or isn't working. It seems the only way to get the car into timing mode is through the diagnostic menu in the setup tab.

If that really is the case, I'd propose taking the other timing thing out of the program.

wow, just read this whole thread. probably the only bloke in aus with a nismotronic'd sr20de ecu and a ve in a thousand bit's undergoing a extensive rebuild, and a computer/electronics cripple to boot. should be fun came fire-up time. so is it 5 degree's or 15 then? maybe i'll just truck it to the tuners (lol).

Its what u set it to bud, 15 is what alot of guys have been using for years..

As far as setting the timing goes its not much different from stock or nistune or calum
