My battery on my laptop was probably hovering around 20% so I was thinking the usb isnt as effective then.

Some laptops are set up to shut off peripherals when the battery is low. You should be able to change this in the power save settings.

so last night everything went haywire when I had my laptop hookup and trying to get my live data going(finally seeing a tuner tonight) Nismotronics was going bananas on the screen. I thought maybe my laptop got a virus or something dumb. Well ended up being one of the consult wires came loose off pin 14(hardest one to get to) Soldered that baby back on and everything is smoothed out finally!

I blame the polyurethane motor mounts! Haha
