Super poor mpgs regardless of how I drive.. the afr is mostly dialed in but the weather really screws with it even tho I been using the iat an speed density corrections so the closed loop is constantly pulling or adding fuel to keep it right..

Also my transition from decel to light throttle likes to go lean an even the closed loop doesn't help.. I adjusted the fuel table to try to fix it but I can only go so far before lines start crossing..

Lastly I have an issue when I have been decelerating an I clutch in an when it trys to resume idle the rpms dip really low but it hasnt actually stalled yet.. i played with the idle and decel shit but nothin really helped..

Any ideas?

As far as the MPG is concerned, try actually running it without closed loop and tuning it in Open loop only. Once you get the entire fuel map close in open loop, the gas mileage will likely come right back as the ECU will not need to make the drastic corrections to get it back in line.

Your transition from decel to light throttle is likely in the accel enrich and/or the fuel map itself. Again, turn OFF closed loop and dial it in without any O2 corrections.

If you clutch in and the RPMs dip, it means that you likely don't have enough IACV duty .. you can log the Idle valve percentage and add it where needed to help keep the idle from dipping.

Yeah I always tune with the closed loop off.. weather def plays a big role and as I mentioned in the other thread there's not much resolution in the iat correction table..

Which table exactly controls the iacv duty? I messed with a few of them including the one for timing but it didnt really help

Ill report back after more testing..

There's a whole tab for Idle related tuning. Idle Duty is iacv duty and is essentially iacv percent open. You may need to tune Idle Recovery, but make sure your iacv is reasonably clean first.

Thanks ill keep tryin.

Mind sending me over your current TCD and I can take a look?

I don't have any issues holding idle on cars .. even with ID2000s on E85 and a 4bar.

ill try to send it to you tonight if i have internet access..

i turned the closed loop off an drove around today and it actually holds 14-15 AFR all by itself with out help from the closed loop, also the dipping idle issue seems to have gone away or atleast isnt as noticeable, ALSO it drives much much smoother and the afrs stay more steady with the closed loop off.. not sure whats up with that really..

thanks john, i'll try to get that to you tonight.

I think I may need to do the same because with Closed Loop, my car doesn't hold a steady AFR either!

My car runs pretty good but mpgs suck an still tryin to get the cruise and idle perfect. . Weather changing makes it hard.

If you are comfortable tuning a MAF setup then that might be the route to go, there is nothing wrong with staying with a properly setup MAF system.

Speed density tuning is completely different from tuning a MAF based system, so the learning curve can sometimes be a little steep when diving right in.
