This will probably take up the whole weekend... and some. We'll start on Friday night and probably end up by Sunday night. I am sure there will be numerous tweaks and fine tuning required after the weekend.

I figured if Lucas gets his car in by Friday, we'll start on the miscellaneous items (jack up the car, remove wheels, axles, drain oil/trans fluid/coolant, .. etc) which itself will probably take up most of Friday night... I am sure folks will be going in and out of the garage all weekend..

With 2 people I am able to get an engine out in 3-4 hours. If we have 4-5 people, I think we can do 3 hours.

I will be bringing my impact wrench and hose over so this will help speed things up.

You got some rod bearings on order?

Ryan, what is the word on your B14? Does it still need an ECU for test or is it hibernating this season? Clutch cable on black b14 will not be changed until two weeks. We can swap from it.

If you wouldn't mind me borrowing it this upcoming weekend I'd be
grateful. I would just simply swap out the chips then swap them
back. I could probably help with the swap as long as I'm
not booked. Is it the 19th of feb?

No. Don't have an engine stand or a good torque wrench. Excuses maybe, but that's the deal ;/

Yes, 19th of Feb is a Friday. I think we are pretty set on this date/weekend.

I'm sure plenty of people would be willing to lend you a torque wrench, myself included. You can buy a decient engine stand from
harbor freight, just check the price on their website first and print it out and bring it with you. Also check for cupons. It's much easier to do the bearings out of the car, plus you can lube everything up so it won't be a dry
engine start. All you need is a length of fuel line to
protect the bearing journals when putting the rods back in.

Maybe you can come and help . None of us have done rod bearings before. Also, up to Syed if he wants an engine stand in the garage. I'd be willing to buy one off craigslist. You can get them for about $20.

Right now you can get the 1000lb stand for $50 from harbor freight. I can help no problem. Is there an engine puller (cherry picker) there? Thats the easiest way to get it on an engine stand. You also need much longer bolts than come with the engine...westlakes (ace hardware) is the best bet.

I can bring it over any weekend you like.. would this upcoming 16th (Saturday) work? It is a JWT for Z32 MAF and 50# inj with rear O2 delete. Is that your configuration?

Car is down at the moment due to broken clutch cable. I think Lucas jinxed it.. lol. Greg has shipped a new one today. I should have it sometime later this week. If we get the cable in, I can drive it over there, else, I'll just bring the ECU over..

Yep, we have a cherry picker. Lets let Lucas pick up the rod bearings and your help with the bearings would be awesome!

Since we have a 'go' from Lucas, I'll go and pick this up. There is an Ace hardware store down the street. I'll go grab the long bolts for this. Following is a $35 engine stand (now don't go out and beat me to this):

On a completely different note, check this out:
