Valve reliefs
I have DE/DET wiseco 9:1 cr pistons I was going to put in my VE but they need to have reliefs machined. None of my local shops I trust can do this. Do you guys do this if so how much would it cost. Shoot me a PM if you have any questions for me or want to keep the cost a secret.

Thanks

This is not a common process we do. In fact, I don't think we've ever done it. I suggest getting a set of VE pistons. But when we were initially R&Ding the VE head on a RWD, we did put a bone stock VE head on a bone stock DET RWD block. We checked and clayed the piston to valve clearance and it had a lot of clearance. If you are determined to keep your existing pistons, you should clay it and check clearance.

Thanks for the response. I found a decent shop in the area who will be comparing the VE pistons to the DE pistons and checking the overall clearence. If they can do the reliefs, they will. If not, I will be selling thses and picking up some VE pistons.
