VQ35 swap parts
Have you guys ever considered making parts to facilitate VQ35 swaps into P and/or B chassis cars? I think this would be a popular swap if there was a bolt in solution available.

Agreed. I have been contimplating this for quite a while with my nx. But i was thinking a vq30det.

Its pretty popular with the spec v guys from what i have been hearing.

that would be a great swap but why not put in the vq35 it has the exact motor mount locations you would just have to open the timing cover and use some of the vq30 components due to the vtc and run a vq30 ecu there is a write up on maxima.org

We did something like this about 4 years ago. The mounts will not be a problem, but all the other parts and lake of room will be. Plus it will be a wiring nightmare if you plan to use the stock ECU.

Its pretty simple. I have bad luck, and with my luck i would get a vq35 that would burn a boatload of oil between oil changes. From my experiences and alot of other peoples the vq30 is a much more reliable engine dollar for dollar. Plus the parts are cheap and easy to find.

We will see how much longer my 150.00 de+t will last before i decide to go a different route. I do like the idea of having 260ish whp with an na v6 engine though.

I would most likely try and use the stock maxima wiring harness and ecu set up depending on how much splicing would be involved. It would keep costs down a lot as well.

Either way a nice mount kit would be badass, and wouldnt be too hard for you guys to make and sell.

It would be nice to have another option for a supplier for the B15 Spec-V as well.

Agreed! The hardest part would be finding manual trannys as most maxima people went with the auto over the 6spd, but i am sure there are other options.

that would be sick i have a vq30de w/a manual trany wire harness and ecu out of a 96 infiniti i30t for my i30 and its pretty quick even in that heavy of a car i could only imagine it in my b13 that would be insane not to mention a turbo spooling it i might hurt myself lol if anyone finds a wright up on the swap let me know but till i know what i am getting into im not even gunna try and attemp it

Yeah i have a 99 maxima w a vq30 and a 5spd. Its fun to drive even with how heavy the car is. I have a catless y pipe high flow cat, and a 2.5" cat back on it and also an intake. We will see i may have to do this over winter if i get bored with my current set up.
