How To: Disassemble B14 JDM power folding mirror (for repair)
hello all,

So I spend a while searching everywhere looking for one of these tutorials because one of my power folding lucino mirrors stopped folding. Since finding parts for these are pretty difficult, I decided to find a way to fix it. Its pretty easy and straight forward.

Step 1: Remove the mirror from the vehicle (if attached).

Step 2: There are 3 screws located on the bottom of the folding mechanism. Now is a good time to make sure the mirror is folded out, it will need to be for the next step. The mount will take a little force but it will slide along the wire to give you room.

Step 3: Remove the screw holding in the plastic plate, the pop out the plate by lifting it and pulling up diagonally.

Step 4: remove the glass. you can do this by taking a knife or flat object and slipping it between the white plastic plate and the black plastic backing to the glass and twisting. there are 2 clips on the bottom and the top will slide out. be careful when popping out the clips to not break the glass. I made a video to show you a little better. The red boxes are the clips and the green boxes are where it slides in.

Step 5:There are 3 long screws that will remove the positioning motor

Step 6: There are 3 screws that remove the motor from the mirror housing

Step 7: Disassembling the motor. the plastic top will slide off with a little force. I have tape around mine for some reason, I think the previous owner took it apart and broke clips. The reason my mirror stopped folding was because a plastic gear snapped in half. I fixed it with some 60 second epoxy and it is running strong now. The photos will show the piece and where it was located in the motor

Just follow the steps in reverse to reassemble it
The video also shows how to reinstall the glass
