I always try to make things have that 'factory' look, which is why I like the mod you did...you could literally put that anywhere for an almost factory look.

I went w/factory looking gauges that have the ANSI symbols from Stuart Warner for the same reason.

Are the wires going right to the battery? I assume if it's wired direct, the display stays lite all of the time?

No, it has a small modular pug that i didnt take a picture of. Its similar to a stereo in way.. it has a constant voltage lead, a ground, but also a ACC switch leg which turns the unit on once your key hits the ACC part of the tumbler. Hence why in the first picture where it is shown in the car... it is off.

I did something a little similar in my B13 since my turbo timer in my B14 already shows voltage. I got a meter without the boarder and one of those filler pieces. Filed out the center to fit the meter perfectly wedged in. As you can see the meter was wrapped in window tint to bring down the brightness and kinda bunched up in the corners (i never got around to redoing it to look smoother). Little more patience and you could prob get it looking cleaner, but it works for me.

Are you sure you didn't have your pet hamster gnaw out that filler piece?

Nice. I'll have to do this, but put in place of the dimmer instead of the cruise button.
