Here in Europe , we can source the pump from most of the Benz vehicles. In another forum there was a guy saying almost every Benz has one. Check it with some local UK Benz owners . This pump just releases air before the catalyc converter. It does so , because when your engine warms up it is in a very rich state and the extra air in the exhaust helps to complete to burn before the CAT.

I work at a Ford dealer so if you know the car with one of these on it, I can look it up

I've added the last major potential upgrade I was planning on adding. By installing a dry sump oiling system on the car you can basically remove the need for the entire crank case ventilation system.

Last I checked the only available off-the-shelf oil pan for this is provided by ARE. He doesn't seem to have them listed anymore on his site, but I'm pretty sure you can still buy them.
www.drysump.com - Armstrong Race Engine Systems - Cast Aluminum And Magnesium Dry Sump Oil Pans, Valve Covers and Components For Professional Racing

I hear the oil pan is around $500, pump is around $1,000 and oil tank is around $500 so you're looking at approx. $2,000 invested for the major components of a dry sump system.

Happy motoring!$!$!

This is the second time I've been hearing recently that the RR valve cover won't fit on the older DE engines because the baffles interfier with the cam oil tubes.

Can anyone confirm this for sure? Has anyone actually ever put a RR valve cover on a non-RR DE engine successfully before?
I'll need to update this thread to reflect this information.

I know some problems can arise from trying to put a regular DE valve cover on a RR engine because the throttle body through-bolt cause interference. AT least on throttle bodies with the extra cruise control drum.

Yah I guess that confirms it. Time to edit a couple posts.

This thread can have as much clutter as you want. I've managed to get all the pertinent info in the first couple posts, so go ahead and post pics of your setup in here, and ask any questions, offer advice, etc.
