brighter fog lights?
hey was looking to get some opinions . i wanted to get brighter bulbs but does anyone know what bulbs i should get ? i have yellow fog lights but i'd rather have function and visibility over looks. i was looking at Ebay just for bulbs , but what about actual kits ? anything around 30$ also would i have to drill anything to let the ballast the stick to somewhere or can i just use zip ties? i have lots of zip ties.

Zip ties are absolutely necessary whenever you plan on modding a se-r!

If you would rather have function and visibility, yellow lights are reducing your overall light output from the start. Anytime light is filtered, lumen output is reduced. Those blue covered headlight buls are a scam, illegal, and reduced lumen output. They also generally do not last as long as normal light bulb replacements.

I do not know how to upgrade with HID or any other new technology. But, I maintain that lumens are reduced when you filter light. That sucks.

Far as fog lights I'd say the really only way to go brighter is to convert to HID. Which (done the right way) usually means projector retrofit. Problem is most projectors are too big for most Fog light housings.

Those blue tinted are just for a bluer color light, it wont be brighter though. In fact it might be less bright from the tinting of the glass. I'd focus on just making your headlights brighter with a hid retro fit (thats the route i'm going with all my cars). I will however probably use something like those bulbs you listed above only to help match the color of my HIDs. The stock Halogen bulb next to the HIDs looks terrible lol.

thanks got it out.It was really stuck on there I had to use vice grips to push the tab and pry the thing apart. is there a guide for installing a fog HID kit? i have HID's for my headlights is there an adapter so i can hijack the headlight ballast and use it for the fog lights too?
