Engine harness question
Hello guys,

I am currently having a problem with the cold start of the car, it will not start and you have to keep trying on and off for like 6 minutes for it to start.

The mechanic thinks that the problem is that there are some wires cut between the ecu and and 6 cable plug. In the picture below, is the one that is white and yellow, that connects to the harness.

Does any of you have the pinout for that connector? I have been searching for it but the only pinout I can find is the one for the ECU, but we think that might be the problem. What you guys think?

Any input is appreciated

Do you mean the engine cranks and doesn't start or you get nothing at all?

If the former then it could be a signal wire that goes from the ignition switch to ECU to tell the ECU to richen up for start condition. I switched around a bunch of wires and modified my ignition switch to a push button style using an OEM nissan switch and in doing so I left out a connection for the start signal to the ECU. When I go to start it, sometimes it will crank for a while and begin stumbling to life, and sometimes not at all. What I usually do is give very light throttle and it'll start no problem. Not saying this is the issue but it sounds very familiar and if you've modified the harness at all then this absolutely could be a possibility.

Off topic but you just solved one of my issues. Thanks for the info.

Yes, those 2 cables fix the problem. It did exactly that, I have a wideband and the wideband was indicating that it was totally lean, even tho the fuel pressure gauge showed fuel pressure at normal levels. I had to WOT and crank and crank for about 2 minutes on and off. It was a nightmare.

It is fixed now. It was missing that connection along with another one
