Can I use a 95-97 engine harness on a 99 se-l?

You can make it work. Why do you want to do this?

Oh cause I made my car 5spd & im using the auto harness but I wanna plug the tranny up the idle drops low when I come to a complete stop & sometimes it dies

Did you set the auto harness trans switch to neutral? The car should idle fine while running stopped or moving. Try bumping the idle up a bit.

You can use it but a 95-97 will throw a code on a 98-99 unless you repin some stuff

If you don't mind me asking what ECU did you end up using for your conversion? i am wondering if i can use a 1995-99 as long as it is from a 2.0L 5speed example 96 200sx ser-r/ 98 200sx se-r sentra se 2.0L
