Anyway to bypass anti theft on b14?
Is there anyway to bypass the anti theft system on a b14. I've traced every wire for a short and nothing. I think the car is locked out. Security light flashes when trying to start the car

ive checked relays, jumped wires, everything, i spent 4 hrs yesterday going thru the schematics and checking all the sensors with ohms and what not and nothing and i was working with a ase cert electrical technician and he was lost too. the only thing not making sense is the anti theft part of the vehicle. if i put power straight to the starter i could start it and it runs no problem its just that with the clutch down it doesnt. i jumped that terminal for the clutch position and nothing, the guy wants to start it with the clutch down but its becoming harder and harder as we speak because im out of ideas, i could make it start off the relay without the clutch but thats not what hes paying for.....ideas ideas

why not just wire the clutch switch into the relay?

Have you tried using the key in the door to lock and unlock it. I have had a similar problem and this tends to reset the system.

I had the same symptoms of what is happening to your car right now. Look under the dash on the drivers side and look at the pedal assembly. Look at the clutch pedal, toward the top of the pedal you SHOULD see a rubber piece that presses a switch when you fully depress the pedal. if you see a open hole where something should be, that might be your issue. being a 15+ year old car that rubber piece dries out and eventually just falls apart. It happened to me about a year ago and I was freaking out. What I did was unplug the switch and put a paperclip into the female plug to close the circuit a ghetto way. Now i dont have to depress my clutch anymore to start the car, just remember to be in neural when you start the car.
you can either find something to re-fill that hole so it can properly depress the switch or do what I did.
