Any recommendations for a set of 6X9's? My daily driver needs new rear ones. I have a new Kenwood Excelon head unit but no amp or sub. Need a set that has good bass response for under $150.

I ended up getting a set of Kenwood KFC-6994PS five-way speakers. I have to say for $90 they sound phenomenal! Very happy with them.

Why would I want to do that? Actually, I have that size in the front. The 6X9's in the rear give me a little extra in the bass department as I no longer have a sub in the trunk.

Personally. If you want some good bass. I wouldn't worry about 6x9's. I would go with a pair of 6.5 subs in the rear deck. Freeair amped at about 50-75rms. With the front stage off the headunit. You would be golden.
Trust me. I know from experience. It's well worth it and sounds much better.
