Thread: cigarette lighter problems

well it seems my cig lighter dosent work anymore the fuse is fine but there is no power in the cig lighter or the fuse or the cables going to the cig lighter i guess it short and burnt somewhere i cant find the wiring diagram. can someone shoot me in the right direction

i got my hand on the wire diagrams i just need to find were the power is being cut off the radio works so im getting power to the accsory relay just not getting power to the cig lighter or the fuse so it must be betweent the relay and the fuse block

run a slight thicker gauge wire to the relay and run a 30 fuse.our lighters break because its only to light up our ciggs n swishez n not for most car accessories that draw more power. just a piece of mind boss

Pop off the front of the cigarette lighter and check the ground clip on it.

Yah, have you checked the plug connections behind it?
How are you testing to see if it works?

Oops forgot to update it ended being the relay that was the problem

I gotta check this. My cig-lighter has not worked in several years.

I do not smoke in my Sentra, but would definitely like to be able to use a radar-detector or GPS unit.
