Subwoofer?
Blew my sub a few days ago so I need a new one. SQ is top of the list. Needs to be a 10 inch, be happy in a .5cf sealed box (I can space it alittle if it needs a slightly larger box) and handle the 300rms from my amp. Has to be 4ohms, my amp is not 2ohm mono stable. I prefer American electronics.

JL 8w7 It needs 1.0 cf but it will sound better than any 10 with only 300 watts. I have one of these in a ported box with a kicker 300.1 and it sounds perfect.

I don't do ported or large boxes. Way to muddy for me. I need tight response 80% of the time and at low volumes. Every now and then I'll crank it, my JL w0 would rattle my rear view off when I felt like being dumb.

Few guys back home are running DD Audio subs, DD Audio: Mobile Audio | Woofers | 500 Series | DD Audio

That guy would run off your amp. Check the specs though. They seem to like them, but I have no personal experience.

Alpine type R. Even though a cheap no name sub in a properly designed box will outperform an expensive high end sub in a poorly designed box

I can't run anything with Type-R on it, way too many negative thoughts enter my mind! LOLOL.

A for effort but $400 is WAYYYYYYYY to rich for my blood.

To the others, I'm not a very big fan of the big comercial brands like alpine and so on. I'm looking for a close out priced sub. I say SQ but I don't do competitions or anything. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on tue Boston g310 and get a .75cf box. With the space the driver takes up it should end up being almost the exact internal volume it calls for.

Boston makes great stuff. Good choice.
