The JDM WP11 and the P11 both came with 5 different engine choices. As I mentioned, that code is for a SR20DE w/CVT trans. The second line of numbers, starting with A18-K31 is a manufacturer part number (Jecs Crop.).

It is possible that someone switched the ECU cover or that it was tuned with a daughterboard for a VE, but you would have to open it up and see.

From what is visible, it is as described.

Now I learned something, that SR20DE aslo came with CVT trans. I thought the CVT came from SR20VE P11. (Talking about SRs)

I will take a picture of the pigtails and the insides of this ECU.

I am just curious before plugging it. Granted that this is just SR20DE w/CVT trans, what will happen if I will plug this to SR20VE?

I appreciate your help bro.

There are a few differnent JDM cars that are running around with an SR20DE and a CVT.

You could use it on an SR20VE engine but you would end up with a CEL for the missing transmission/trans control module. It would not be ideal though as the ECM would be set up for maximizing the engine in conjunction with the CVT trans. You would also still have to run a seperate controller for the VVL. The better option would be to just run a USDM ECM (ECU). The 94-96 G20 ECU with advanced ignition timing is a popular choice, depending on OBD compatibility. This is the easiest option as far as untuned ECU's.

You're welcome. I am no authority but I am glad to help!

Why I cant see that "Thanks" button.

Thank you so much bud. Actually I am doing 1.6 to 2.0 swap. And I got a non-lsd tranny and this VE engine from a japan importer. The engine has No maf, cut harness, plus the headache of that ECM.

We already installed the engine and tranny, and now the wiring goes. Our first attempt is to run the engine with the VE harness, VE box, ve maf and ve dizzy.

Sorry for the story. But thats the way it is.

The Thanks button is the yellow star in the top right hand corner above each post!

I see now, what you are doing. There are a few threads kicking around with details on the 1.6 to 2.0 VE swap. A few members here have done it recently. I don't know much about it. If it were me I'd be tempted to run a DE harness/MAF/dizzy but I imagine the VE combo would work as well. You should be able to run the VE harness as well with DE MAF, DE ECU and dizzy. The only issue is you would have to re-wire the harness for the DE dizzy and MAF. I am sure you have already looked into these scenarios, though.

Sounds like fun!
