Mine is grounded to the place that holds the Radio in also. This is an Eclipse head unit so Ive never had noise with it before. Ill try scraping the paint off of that point and see if it helps.

The noise was there before my MSD box was installed so I know its something else. Where are you guys grounding your amps? Mine is grounded to the seat rail.

I have great reception and no noise until I turn the key one click forward to "run". As soon as one of the relays down by the ECU click the reception shit's the bed, turn the key back and when the relay de-energizes the reception comes back. I wouldn't call it electrical interference either, it's more like a "carrier" signal "stepping on" my reception.

Definitely not the fuel pump, I pulled the relay and the fuse and it's still there. Car has a JWT upgraded ECU. Maybe something to do with that?

Just thought of something. May have something to do with the alarm. I'll check that next.

You'll get that kind of noise if you run a large enough power wire in close proximity to the speaker wires or RCA cables.
That's why you're supposed to run the power and audio cables on opposite sides of the car, in terms of an amp/system.

4 gauge power along the drivers side and the rca cables ran up the middle....seems far enough to me...????

Any constant power wire will cause interference. If you're running them in the middle of the car, there is your fuel pump wire there also, towards the back.

But yes, grounding is usually the issue.

I run 0ga wire on my drivers side, from the battery, and my rca cables on the pass side. The only time they come close is the amp, and my system is fine.
But I also don't cut off the stereo harness to splice in my new stereos; I use those connectors you buy at walmart to keep the same plugs.

Aren't there grounding isolators or something to fix the OPs problem?

Honestly they don't really fix the problem, just hide it slightly. It still whines and there is still interference.. Plus they work by blocking some higher frequencies that also removes the frequencies from music making high treble songs sound flat. It's called a ground loop isolator.

ya i probably should have done that..... those rca's were just easier to route up the middle cuz i mounted my amp basically under that parcel shelf in the truck between the speakers......power routed the same way you did.
Again im more then happy with the rest of the system.... just some radio interference which i can live with.
