knock sensor harness repair?
is it possible to repair the harness for the knock sensor? I don't how it broke and what not but when I got the motor, the knock sensor was FUBAR'd and the harness was just electrical taped to the connector of what was left of said knock sensor.

Thanks for any info!

How far back into the loom is the wire broken? Its a shielded cable with about 6-8" of plain white wire to the plug before the braided shield begins. If its just severed at any point where there is the single white wire, then just repair it like you're splicing a normal wire.

If its severed way back like where it comes through the firewall then you'll need to make sure the braid is wrapped around (but not connected to the wire inside) the white conductor once its repaired. This is done to reduce 'noise' picked up from other pulsed signals in wires nearby (like injectors).
