Electrical problems...turn signals
Since hallowen night my rear turn signal lights stopped working.

Both front turn signals work but flash much faster. I've looked at the rear bulbs and theyre not blowned, and no melting of the bulb socket.

Before this happened on the same night all my interior & exterior lighting stopped working (instrument cluster, dome light, stereo, & and sunpro 2" tach, and headlights/fog lights/rear lights). At the time I smelled an electrical burn.

My car didnt want to start/turn on, but eventually it turned on after a few minutes..and thats when all this electrical problems occured. I had to drive my car like that night but i was glad my head lights and 4 fog lights worked but all my other lights didnt work. After driving a few miles I went over a rough bumpy dip and BAM all my interior lights, stereo, and etc turned on.

But my turn signals were flashing fast, and the needle on the tach was turning counter clockwise but the tach eventaully stopped working completely after a few days.

All my fuses work and I checked with my tester

Anyone know what could of what happen?

what kind of car is it? sounds like maybe a loose connector? usually going over a bump and something electrical acting weird is a dead giveaway.

as far as the rear turn signals, i would try and get a wiring diagram for your vehicle and check starting from the connector, to the fuse box, prolly the most easiest way to troubleshoot your problem

Either a short upstream of the dash instrument panel and turn signal stock, OR it might be as simple as you've lost your main ground or it's loose. Start there first.

But the burn tells me SHORT. Start behind the panel, the stereo, start looking for someplace you have an extra "ground" you don't want. That smell says you may need to invest in some wire to fix things. AM stereos not fused are often the problem as are added-on lights (4-fog bumper?) - people leech off the easier connection and that's often the instrument cluster or the acc/signal lights.

What kind and MY of car is it exactly?

For sure i'll check my grounds.

The only 2 extra grounds hooked up are my Blaupunkt Headunit (It works), and the sunpro 2 5/8" tach and thats about it (needle does not work, but It lights up).

My 4 fog bumper lights are hooked up together and light up at the same time I hit the fog light switch.

Its my 92 1.6 xe-r coupe

Sounds like the interior fuse(s) have blown....although the problem may be more severe if it's not that. (I think the latter to be honest)
Different fuses operate different parts of the car. A single fuse could operate the wipers and interior light - YET they are completely seperate fuctions, but the actual FUSE would operate BOTH functions. Also a single fuse could operate the radio and the rear heated windscreen. (as an example)
I would certainly check the fuses first before taking the car to a garage who will probably charge you an arm and a leg for a simple 1 minute job. The problem sounds a 'minor' fault....but there could possibly be more to this. If you have tried changing the fuse - and/or there is no blown fuses, take the car to at least 4-5 garages to get an insight to the problem and a quote. If the quotes are very similar...you know you havn't been ripped off.
