CD won't eject.
The disc has been stored in my sentra's JVC deck for a couple months now and I've been playing the music over and over. Now trying to change it for new year's the darn thing won't eject. It just keeps flashing eject when I press the eject button and now it makes weird noises when trying to play track 2 and the rest (track 1 starts ok). I'm planning to just take out the unit! It's pissing me off cuz I can't play my new CD. Well it's a 4 year old deck I had on my old escort so maybe I was supposed to expect this . Anyway, I got my sony xplod head unit on my tacoma right now and was planning to switch out the two since the tacoma is the "beater" for this winter. Is it just plug and play or do I have to buy new wires or anything like that? They were both done by some local audio shops so I haven't opened up either car.

you'll have to resplice the wires, assuming they used a harness adapter, and didn't cut your plugs off.

i've swapped so many radios between my cars it's insane.. i've gotten to the point where 10 minutes is pretty much all i need to swap them anymore.

should be as ez as matching the the harness wiring colors with one another. worst case, you'll spend $15 for a harness kit to connect the radio.

a few after market radios use the same plug on the rear.....you may not have to change the harnesses at all.

find the "reset" button on your problem head unit. my alpine did this many years ago and hitting the reset fixed it right up.

Hey guys, the sony xplod deck stopped playing CDs (CD ERROR appears) so good thing I never took it off the truck. Anyways, I got a new deck instead. Everything is unplugged on the old JVC deck so the car's just full of wires sticking out. My friend said all we have to do is splice the wires from the old one and new one and connect them to the new deck's wiring harness. My question is, should it just be color coded when connecting? If so I'll probably just do this myself.

I know for a fact the harnesses on the back of a JVC will not fit a Sony. At least the wire colors are the same though! Just remember not to hook up the illumination wire (orange and orange/white).
