I haven't had any issues with it either.

Just to let you know. You have no idea what you are talking about based on that article. You are jumping to conclusions and making assumptions.

That article tests V1SE. That product was/is asphalt based and is no longer in production.

The product we are talking about is V1SE2. Which is butyl rubber based, with a stronger adhesive than the V1SE.

In fact, the V1SE2 is no longer in production and has now been replaced by eDead V80.

Which means that until the guy writing that Sound Deadener Showdown web-site tests the V1SE2 or the eDead V80, your entire post is based on outdated materials and testing.

Although I am glad that the information on asphalt based vs. butly rubber based sound deadeners was brought up. Apparently the butyl rubber based deadeners, like the V1SE2, are superior to the asphalt based deadeners.

edead is garbage to be completely honest and yes the butyl base is better than the asphalt based ones. I will never buy anything from that company because the quality is not very good at all. In order to get rid of road noise or something like that it must be doubled up if not tripled up. This is just from experience with using many different companies. The butyl they use is still not comparable to other companies like second skin, I know not to many people are into car audio here but its basically like everything else you get what you pay for.

I used brown bread in my trunk when i had subs, and it had amazing results. I have never used edead, but I would not hesitate buying it. I can say that eD's subs and amps are fantastic, and there customer service is unlike anything I have ever experienced, it truly is second to none.

That is impossible, the Brown Bread did terrible in that guys testing.

I am going for it, doing the entire floorpan of the Classic, the doors, and the IKEA brace/seat-back and rear speaker shelf.

Sorry, I cannot go with what is tested/written about a product that is three (3) generations old, and is not even the same basic type of product as the current offering, nor the previous (middle) generation. The only place I am not doing is the roof, because if the sound deadener did f*ck up and fall off, it would be an outrageous bitch to remove. You have to strip the entire interior, from the floorpan up, to get to or under the headliner. The rest of it, I am not worried about. Nothing will get as hot as the roof, hell I cannot evem imagine seeing 160 degree temps on the floor pan. No way no how. Nor will the door panels ever get to 160 degrees. Maybe the roof gets that hot in the sunlight (in Houston), but the rest of the car does not.

We shall see.

It sticks really well. Well enough that once its applied you cannot remove it with your bare hands.

There are just some ED haters out there. A few people had issues with ED when the company was starting out but, they have since been resolved. Some people just can't get over the past or they make assumptions with out any personal experience.

yeah, i wouldn't read too much into that article. the brown bread has not failed in any spot, at all! I had a 15 with 1500watts, and I would say it got rid of 90+% of my rattles. I wish is was gone now for weight savings, but, i'm lazy, lol
