Wow. SLBR is out of stock? That as the best resource as far as I know. You better trap some S3's of the forum instead.

I should get some S4's for my DET and donate my S3's to my brother.

Im looking for a set of S4's myself... Im guessing Greg V is the best place to get those?

Seems with BC's you need to buy at least cam gears also...

Well from my small research I think the Stages 2's don't need cam gears or valve springs but I could be wrong. Also there is a HUGE price gap difference between both.

I only did a bit of research myself and what I found was:

The Stg 2 are great and dont really require springs. But they make your valves float above 7400 or something crazy. So after a long period of time you might have enough wear for something to fail. Also the BC dont need gears either. But from reading the cams arent "on point" stock like the S4's and S3's are. You have to dial them in with cam gears for them to reach there full potential. So in reality I think the S4/s are actually the better deal in the long run...The BC's arent really drop in cams like everyone thinks.

have had stage 2 on my car for over a year rev 7500 rpms constantly and beat on it no s/r no problem yet! end of story............not arguing with you johnny but this s4 vs bc 2 is just getting old.. true about the cam gears but on my car i dropped them in and it was nite and day. true the s4 are better overal cam but if you want something a lil cheaper with good a decent power adder the bc 2 are a great cam

Well, it's not a surprised for us to know that JWT spent a lot of time making the best cam for our cars but like Jen said price wise there is a big difference.

Price is cool. And the fact that they are not harming your valvetrain is cool also Jen36. But you cant argue with the facts...

Time and time again Ive seen people dyno the BC cams and get lower then expected results and then they post them and people come up with every exscuse they can about why the cams didnt make the expected power.

What it really comes down to is the luck of the draw with dropping the BC cams in with nothing else. You could get lucky and they could be spot on or you could be unlucky and get a set that isnt spot on and needs to be dialed in with some cam gears which it looks like most need. So either way your going to wind up spending some cash to get the most out of them. Im not saying either is better then the other. But I prefer a drop in cam that I dont have to worry about. Actually I am saying one is better...the BC is probably the better cam once dialed in. But you have to dial it in first. Im a set it and forget it type of guy.
