id say a nice custom intake mani, lightly cleaned up ve head 90x86 bottom end 9:1 cr some n1 or 16 cams and a 42r ish turbo and 9.5k would make it happen. With the way ppl break 500whp on pump this shouldn't be to tough.

I remember hearing of a very baisc vet 90x86 that did 550whp on 20psi on a 37r

Just FYI a 90mm bore x 86mm stroke build with 2.189L would need to make ~656WHP to qualify.

My build is fairly simple and very cost effective. VE block, ve oil pump, 86.5mm CP's, Eagle rods, ACL bearings, Cosworth headgasket, Golden Eagle head studs, BC springs and retainers, JWT C2 cams, dual grooved shims, rev to 9k, 6765 precision turbo 1000cc injectors at 75psi base pressure, Weldon AFPR, Walbro 255lph feeding a bosch 044, AEM ems and twin fire ignition.

The motor build itself should hold to 650-700 no problem, this has been done on stock blocks before. Im of course going for it on C16 race gas and wouldnt see why i shouldnt be able to hit the 700whp mark by 35psi of boost on that turbo.

Almost there so time will tell.

If you haven't taken a look at the bottom end internals you should. It's a beast.
Just for kicks. Look at that OEM main-cap/girdle/skirt piece. Anyone know what they are really called?

Yeah, the upper pan/girdle/main cap is beefy as hell on the F20's. I assembled my buddies built and sleeved f20. I was impressed. They have pretty beefy rods too from the factory.

Rods (and pistons?) are forged from the factory. Serious business.
