Thread: 2.0 M/T starter & A/T starter the same?

Well, my girls P11 starter took a sh!t, and another forum member is selling a starter for cheap. Problem is her P11 is A/T & the starter i'm planning on buying is for a M/T.

I'm guessing they are the same , but i haven't changed an A/T starter before.

Yeah it should when I swapped to 5 speed I used the same starter my car came with so it should be the same. Let me know how it goes!

I also used the starter that came with my Avenir that was in an Auto car. Worked just fine! So I guesss thats a big fat yesss

it should work. i used a 98 highport starter on my 01 lowport. unless they labeled it wrong at the bone yard...

98 is a lowport, your 01 is a RR and the 98 is not but both are lowports.
