Thread: How the hell do you get the injectors out

Chris this had nothing to do with the vedor stuff, this was a plan I had with Serban so hold your horses. I did not want section to sell stuff I wanted to do a tech section.

Again, I know lots of guys who sell **** loads of stuff on that forum but they just picked and chosed who they would squeeze and you know it. I could list many a person.

I was told I sell stuff for a profit. While at the same time a guy bought a motor off of Ebay and parted it out. **** he ws doing the same thing and is running that **** crazy on this forum and yours.

There was some serious biased **** going on there.

I am still baned from you sacred for sale section which I can post in. So, for me I aint helping out over there.

You dont have to take the manifold off to take out the rail.

You can slide the rail out from the side.

Unbolt the TB. Take off the braces in the front from head to intake. remove rail bolts and **** slides out,

I didn't take it completely off, just lifted the intake mani up until I could place it to rest on the bolt studs.

As for sliding the fuel rail, it was a bit of a pain to reach behind the fuel pressure regulator, the bolts on it were dead stuck, and were beginning to strip, so I just lifted the fuel rail up while keeping the fuel rail still attached to the FPR.

After that, popping the injectors off was really easy

The pintal caps are the plastic piece at the bottom of the injector.
They get hard/fragile from constant heat & age and will crumbles when applying any pressure..
Our local Dealers dont carry them and the eBay ones that I found didnt fit..
They simply pop-out of the groove and the new one snaps on..

The best place to find them that I could find was the injector cleaning services..

NOTE: Just dont loose the little small filter cage just above the pintal..
They are impossible to find.

Thats the injector seal kit. One kit per injector..
These parts are needed when installing the injectors and rail.
If your parts are not old, you can get just the 2 O-rings for each injector.
Each kit contains: two O-rings, rubber seats for under the rail, top cap for top of injector and that extra rubber ring that isnt never used...

The Seal Kit can be found at any local NAPA store too.

RC injs replaced the the little caps also.

Guys there is no need to have your injs cleaned. You can take them out and clean them yourself with brake cleaner and a few Q tips.
