Wiring harness
Are there any differences between the b13/b14 wiring harnesses?

How much of a difference is ther between the MT and AT harnesses?

Thanks in advance for any help.

b13- obdI
b14- obdII

dunno about the manual. your best bet is to get a factory service manual for them. there are also differences between some years of each chassis. your best bet is to just get the harness for the model year of your car.

Anything particular you looking for? Most the A/T harnesses just have some extra wires compared to M/T ones, but the base harness is the same (all other wires are the same). OBDI and OBDII harness are all kinds of diffrent though.

^^Agreed. A/T harness has one extra plug for the TPS, two extra plugs for the tranny itself and the Speed sensor plug may also be different. But the base harness is the same.

So basically I have to find a '96 SE-R or G20 wiring harness to drop an SR20 into a '96 GXE?

And the reason I'm asking about the a/t, m/t differences is cuz we have a 95 G20 auto at work. I'm gonna pull the engine but wanted to know if the auto harness would work for an m/t swap.

Just get a manual 95-97 SER manual harness. These harness are not to hard to find. Keep it simple.

You can use the A/T harness if you want. I used an auto harness in my swap. Just have an extra plug hanging down at the TPS *shrug*. At least it worked in my '98 200sx so I would think it would work in a GXE.
