i've got well over 100k on my act hd pp. it's been through 3 disks (oem 2001 se with pp), replaced the oem flywheel several yrs ago with a jun ultra light and am on the same nissan cable. i've had no trouble with it. what i don't like is the very short throw between just starting to engage and fully engaged. it's not overly stiff and i've never broken the clutch release arm (knock on wood) because of it. ymmv.
hope this helps

Good question. WHich clutch does not require the cable to be moved back? As much as I hate the Centerforce I may have to try it.

I have a ACT its not the extreme one the next one down from it. It is said that it doesn't have the issues that the extreme one has with the cable killing but it is only rated for somewhere around 240hp or so. I haven't had any problems with two of them now. The first one lasted 30k miles with no issues

If I remember correctly Exedy made the clutch disk in the kit and had it stamped on the something

[QUOTE=HP10T; I can understand that but we aren't talking awd clutches here, they are different than fwd. I appreciate that though as I wanted to hear everything about ACT and other companies but do you have any videos similar to that with FWD SR applications? [/QUOTE]

im not arguing but you kinda contrididicted yoursef there. as you said the subaru world says great things and they are AWD, then when david buschur said they were garbage you said that we werent talking about AWD clutches, you can take the word of mouth from subaru then not do the same from buschur since he is talking about ACT and AWD also. just seemed like you were welcoming the opinion of subaru owners but, not excepting the negative comments of buschur he is TOP NOTCH, he was judging the company as a whole.

ive personally ran ACT clutches and my basic conclusion is that their discs are garbage, but if you get their PP and a decent puck disc you will be fine..

FYI clutch choice has nothing to do with pedal pressure. I think you're really interested in what kind of pressure plate everyone's using.

whatever happened to Clutchmasters? I liked it when JWT was reboxing them.

almost EVERYONE of these "Performance" companies re-box Clutches. IIRC, I think only like 3-4 companies MAKE and PRODUCE Clutches.. And Excedy is one of them.
NO ACT don't make Clutches, JWT don't clutchmaster, bla bla bla.
