Undertrays and Belly Pans
I'm very ignorant on subject, so I was wondering: why aren't these aero parts discussed on the forum? Is it because they are for race and 'hypermiler' cars and impractical for daily drivers? Just wanted to get your guys' thoughts on the subject. I was about to replace my OEM plastic undertray that is torn and dangling and wondered if upgrading the undertray was worth it or even possible.

Thanks

The problem is that they need to be custom made. Not everyone has the skills, tools, and/or materials to make one. I would really like to make one like this, but I don't think i would succeed.

Good point I think a lot of guys just don't know how much of a difference it will make. It has come up once or twice on the old forum but it seems low on the to do list under safety suspension and power. It is more difficult to notice the differences to IMO as well

I don't think it needs to be as complicated as people make it up to be, there is just a lot of myth. I have been messing around here and there with in-expensive materials and hand tools with IMO functional results. Maybe everyone will call me out as a ghetto but I couldn't care less at the end of the day. If it works it works that is what I care about

Corrugated plastic is cheap sturdy easy to work with and hasn't melted on me yet.

Fiberglass is the next step up, you can get the fiber glass woven sheets at home depot and some cooking pan spray and do a one of cast from cardboard or Styrofoam
