Lovely Air Bag Lights
My wife's P11 has popped air bags, to pass inspection in VA the airbag light needs to come on then turn off.

I could get away with just taking out the light bulb, but I was thinking about something more sophisticated... like putting a resistor on the sensors.

I doubt this car will ever seen front air bags, now it is a 2000 G20, and the door said there are side air bags, so I'm afraid that a resistor patch might trigger that...

What are your guy's ideas on this

I know VW guys do it when they put in racing seats so I know there is a way. I would check the resistance on a seat that works and see if it works.

If they just check to see that the light comes on and goes off... couldn't you just rewire it to one of the other lights that comes on and goes off?

Good idea, ABS!

If not you could do a RC circuit so that the light will come on for a little then it will turn off. You can change the timing by changing the resistor or cap to get the time you want. It seems like a lot of work though, but it might be an option if taping into the ABS light does not work.

Thats a good idea, but I think resistoring one of the sensors will work better hehe
