Possibly getting another b13 - help needed
It's been a while...I see this place isn't dead! I'm not on facebook, so I'm posting my question here in hopes of some advice.

My 92 was totaled back in 2010 (thanks asshole who was texting/driving) and has been parked ever since. I've got a line on another b13 but it is in need of some pretty major cosmetic parts that I'm pretty sure are no longer available.

Can someone shed some light on what is still available parts wise? Things like sunroof/door/window seals and trim, interior pieces, etc. Anything mechanical that isn't available anymore that I should be worried about?

Or should I abandon the platform and get a Veloster N or Kia Stinger or something else?

Thanks!

Basically the things that are NLA, or hard to get, have to do with the 2-door body style. They only made them with 2 doors for 4 years. They made them with 4 door sup until 2015 or some shit...

So the doors, door panels, door glass, door seals, etc. are all hard to get. Some have been re-manufactured by enthusiasts. I know the door seals were one thing.

The rear quarter panels might be tough to come by if you need that type of body panel. The rear side windows are unobtanium.

Other than that, you should be fine. The sunroof stuff should be easy enough I'd think.

Personally, I've moved on from the B13 chassis to mainly BMWs because I'm a RWD person (always have been). Maybe find out what kind of car person you are and head in that direction? What do you like out of an ideal, affordable car?

Thanks for the response. As far as I can tell, the car is going to need: splash guard that covers belts, sunroof seals, rear deck, dashboard, floor mats, center armrest, mud flaps, shift knob/boot and seals around all windows.

It looks like all mechanical stuff is still available, so that's good.

Yeah the mechanical stuff is readily available and because the Sentra B13 was made in Mexico until 2016, even front fenders are a dime a dozen. Only 2 door specific stuff is harder to come by as already mentioned.

Personally, I went with a newer platform. Not that the B13 isn't worth the love, but keeping up a vehicle "of a certain age" can present many challenges, especially when everyday life demands attention.

Shout out to JP314 for some much needed OEM parts! Quite the stash!

Replied to SR20NYC's thread, but just in case anyone is reading...

I'm still looking for the following:
-sunroof glass/seal (midwest only due to shipping concerns)
-trim ring for window cranks (and window cranks if not that faded)
-93/94 taillights
-lens for the third brake light (on spoiler)
-splash guard for passenger side (covers the A/C compressor)
-trim ring that goes around ignition switch
-factory radio brackets (and maybe the radio as well)
-plastic screw covers that snap onto screws and hide the screw heads located on doors/center console
-push clips that secure the seat belt trim to top of door
-plastic clips that cover the bolts on the top of dashboard
-plastic clips that cover the two screws located under the interior door handles

Thanks!
