So there's only one bolt that goes inside the oval hole? The 98 Sentra SE FSM shows 2 in there. Stupid FSM.

On a positive note, you will remember next time! That's how you learn.

So the bolts are all in except that short 14mm. Still can't find it.

The shifter is in the correct position. I Drove it around the block, it shifts fine, but it sounds messed up. It shifts fine into gear but it has this rhymatic sound, almost like coming from the passenger side as your moving and you can feel it move around down below each time you hear the sound

Damnit

Make sure the axle nuts are tight? What about the 3 12mm pass axle carrier bolts? Strut bolts are tight assuming u used that method rather than fucking up your ball joint?

That short 14 loves to fall an get stuck inside the hole.. best to find a new one an leave it for the next time the trans is out lol, unless you wanna take it all back apart..

Axle nuts are tight, (just checked them again) and yep to remove the axles we undid the 2 strut bolts and those are tight.

Ok about the axle carrier - here's the thing- it only had 1 of the 3 12mm bolts in it from the previous owner. That's how I got it, and it was fine all this time (3 years). so I replaced the 1 bolt..
