The lip. Grind the lip away from one side of the golden bracket.

That too. I just don't understand why 2 of the 4 bolts holding up the assembly (the ones towards the front of the car) are regular nuts that remove easily and the rear ones are thin as paper and welded! Hah

(BTW it's about that time of day - I'm craving Jimmy's Quick Lunch again )

Ooh gotcha. Great more BS to deal with, lol. I think a cam swap is easier than this! Had I known I would have never bothered with the short shifter in the first place.

Well I just got a new set of extractor bits. Hopefully this works.
