Clutch return spring
Hey all, I have the trans out of my 91nx and I am noticing there's no resistance in the clutch lever. I can move it back and it does not return forward. The return spring is intact and in place with the TOB ON. Is this normal when the trans is off or is the return spring shot? Maybe someone has a spare trans laying around and could check for me?
TIA!!!!!

It is ok. It should not spring back.

Weird. What the heck is the spring for? What forces the TOB and lever back where it came from...no way it's the cable...the pp?

it should spring back. I had a trans that did that.... spring was fine, just a bunch of crud on the arm. Give it good cleaning and lube the spring and arm, should be fine afterwards. If the spring does not return back, then the TOB will rest on the PP causing premature failure of the TOB.
