VE to GTI-R DET
My car is a 96 200sx Se-r

So I've decided to swap out the good ole VE and get a det even tho I just put the VE in in July of 2015 lol but I NEED boost in my life lol

But just a couple of questions to clear some things up so I can order everything at once and do the swap at my work on the weekend

I'm sure I would have to get the oem heater core hoses for my b14 since the ones that are in there now are for the VE

I'm going to run the det ecu till I have extra money for a jwt or calum so I would just have to get a step down harness

Any other tips for swapping in a det from a VE into a b14 Se-r?

Why not just turbo the ve? JWT and calum are quite outdated. I'd look into nismotronic or a megasquirt. Honestly it will probably be cheaper to turbo the ve since you already have it in the car. Find yourself a gti'r manifold and turbo get some bigger injectors a downpipe, ebay intercooler kit and ecu.

I was thinking about boosting the VE but it would be a little too much time I think to try and knock it out when I know I can swap motors pretty quick

It only takes a few hours to tap a block if you take your time.. and it can be done in the car.. I seriously don't see how that's too much time lol

Spend the money on a decent turbo and manifold instead of getting another engine

What is this, 2003?

Jokes aside, get a real-time ECU. Preferably, get it first. Then you can add stuff gradually, like bigger injectors, turbo, boost control, speed density etc.

VE+T is the way to go.
