Which belt do you need because you eliminated or pulley swapped?
Bought a beatdown 91 se-r for cheap and got it running real good by adjusting and replacing some lines. Then blew it up real easy and it was awesome. Got a ve, swappin it in, remove a/c and add underdrive water pulley. Now I need two new belts. At first I searched for the answer. Bought the two new ones and no fit. Took it back, asked for next closest size, didnt fit. Took it back, tried a 5 rib cause didnt have 6 rib in the next size, didnt fit. Took a good look at the part numbers and made one up and it existed and fit. Ordered it for the next day because I had wasted time and the next parts drop was the next day DANG! I was stupid cause I didnt look at the part numbers...

The part numbers are measurements duh.
6PK 6rib. K6 6rib.
4PK, K4 4rib.
325 is sae and 825 is same in metric.

I bought the 5 rib 800 cause they didnt have very many 6 rib and bought the 850 cause i needed a bigger one. Needed one in the middle so made up 6pk825 and it existed and it fits. May ask about another one that would position it. Easy, fast. Dont guess measure, shoestring.

@speedricer What's the PN on that AC bypass belt I gave you at the convention when you blew your AC load on Omar's face?

k040330 is what rock auto lists for their non a/c belt.

I know Napa sells a 6 rib that's small enough to fit too, just dont know the size. You can use 4 5 or 6 rib on there if you want doesn't much matter.

I took a string and wrapped it around the pulleys and then measured it. I then went to the parts store and found the closest one. Measure it with the tensioner all the way tight and find a belt slightly bigger.

You mean with the tensioner all the way loose, as in loosening it so you can get the belt off. Tightening it would take up slack in the belt, getting one slightly larger would never fit in that case.

What I'm planning on doing is to measure both extremes of the tensioner, fully tight and fully loose, so I know what I have to work with. You also need to allow for the belt to stretch slightly over time, so I probably wouldn't go too far past the midrange if possible.

No, @squirlz is correct.

Make it as tight as can be, so you know that's the smallest possible belt, don't go less than that. Then, choose the next size up. Usually between 325mm-335mm.

I guess it's how you interpret the meaning of 'tighten' in this context. Carry on.

Yeah I have both belts. I posted this just so the next person that searches instead of measures will come across it. I mostly read the forum but when there is a question I search for and cant exactly find I like to try to get the answer in there for the next searcher.

I got the 4 rib belt from napa. I think it was a different style part number like the one you just posted. But on the back I found a metric part number. You can see it in the pic on the left.- 4pk863

That belt is as small as I would go, it places the stock ps pulley just far enough away from the gspec water pump pulley, with stock crank pulley.
