That is uncertain lol.
IT still has issues that will need to be addressed at some point - priority list and all (i. e. Non-working - fuel gauge, electric windows, and whatever else I run across or don't know about yet). Haven't even bothered into looking into these things, like I said I had a priority list and these were not even on the radar.

Fuel gauge is easy and you probably already have a working sending unit if you need to replace that. Check your behind the gauge cluster wiring for any chupa-chews through any wiring. It could Lso be that the needle is stuck? Ever give it a good whack?

What a wonderful day in the Nissan realm... Not!
Have a few issues I hope some cam help me with:

1) I now know why my speedo, odo & trip wasn't working. The whole cable is missing, something else that apparently was MIA from the Chupacabra's list of things it was missing. Had a piece of one, so pieced it together to see if it'd work =nope.

2) Also, temp gauge doesn't work. Found it to be hooked up on the cluster and all the pins looked fine. Don't know if I might've missed something in the great obd1 harness to obd2 engine fiasco?

3) got another electric window door switch along with motors & regulators. Counting the 1 on the Chupacabra already that's 2 sets, so you'd think 50/50 odds =nope.
Wiring looks good, fuses & grounds look good and it's getting juice. So what am I missing?

Any help out there?

On a couple other notes- now would be the time to get a nice dash, but broke.
And also pulled off that rear left taillight since it has apparently been a leaker in the past and got all that black gunk off everything. Now just need to get that 3M shit (thank goodness for Autozone rewards) to put it back together.

So found these but they say ""We do not have enough of this product in stock for immediate delivery. Generally, this product leave our warehouse in 2-4 business days." So emailed them, hoping to hear back soon.

On OBD1 cars the temp gauge runs off a separate single wire sensor which is right next to the ECU two wire temp sensor. On OBD2 cars they changed it to be a single three wire sensor. While I do not know if the sensors are compatible or not you might want to start your search with that and also make sure your wiring is correct. I am also unsure if OBD2 sends the signal through the ECU before going to the gauge, though I don't think it does I am also too lazy to dig through the FSM to find out.

And what is going on with the windows? I am a little confused here.

The windows just don't work, up nor down.... No noise at all.
We used the CTS from the old obd1 engine.

look at the place where the temp sensor was on the original engine. Next to it is one other sensor that has only a spade connector.

The red temp sensor you used is for the ECU for warm up enrichment.

The spade connector one is the one that goes to the cluster to show you the temp. Make sure that one is connected.

As far as the windows I already told you how to check the motors. Do that first and so you know if those need to be replaced first.
I told you all of this on FB.

I'm sorry, I might be a little wrong on the temp sensor information as its been quite a while since I've even touched an OBD2 engine. It might use two sensors, one for the gauge and one for the ECU even if it's a three wire sensor. Someone who knows more about OBD2 engines chime in on that?

What I was trying to get at is the gauge is a simple circuit, you have a single wire sensor on the engine that goes directly to the gauge. Either the sensor is bad, the gauge is bad or the circuit is bad, all of which you can check and the FSM tells you how.

The one on the left is for the gauge, the one on the right is for the ECU.

As for the Windows ... It's more of the same. If the wiring, fuses and grounds are good and it is getting power you need to check what is left. Power the motor directly and see if it runs. Check the circuits in the switch and make sure it's good. Again, the information you need is in the FSM so you should be able to check it for more detail on the matter. Doing such checks also stops you from going out and buying random parts in hopes they work. Save your money and do some checking before you buy more parts, please, you could easily just have a bad switch on both units and now you have two sets for no reason.

Do you have access to the FSM? And if you need any help finding the information in it let me/us know and we can get it for you.
