Thread: Custom header heat shield

For those using header wrap, be aware that this may contribute to premature cracking of the welds connecting the primaries (obviously not a factor with the manifolds). Lots of incidents of that out there. I am not sure if one wrap is better than others at being less prone to it.

Yea I agree... If you get around to make a last production of one. I might be interested in one my self. Any way of making it more round? I wish I had some of this and the tools to make one myself.

Just wrap it. How much do you really need to protect a $150 header anyway?
