b14 DE intake and exhaust manifolds on VE?
What's up guys, anyone here ever tried to use the DE manifolds and factory emission components on a VE? I'm considering the Idea of swapping a VE in my b14 but wanna see if its possible to make it 100% emission compliant. I know i won't get full potential of the engine but was wondering if enyone else has tried. Just an idea

Not to be a dick but you really need to search.. The DE exhaust manifold will bolt up but its off quite a bit causing a huge restriction also the intake manifold of the DE is different and smaller..

No offence taken, i did search but didn't find anything conclusive, i'm not a newbe to the sr20's but i've had 4 det b13s and i wanted to try something different for my b14, i appreciate the honest answer.

dont do it. get a good tune via a nismotronic daughterboard or standalone ecu that will do the job (maybe except cali?)

I'm in socal and my b14 is my daily driver, i'm tired of figuring out how to smog my modified cars! I have enough trouble when i have to smog my Z32 and my previous det b13's so i'm just trying to see if i can go a different route

I think you answered your own question... Do not modify it.

basically if you have ve in cali, you have to "know a guy" otherwise you will fail the visual part of the inspection immediately.

beyond that, just tune the shit out of it just for emissions, or register your car in a county that does not require emissions like lake county.
