I was there but just to watch and support my fellow South Florida friends that were racing. Only one of them had a Nissan with a SR in it, the others were S14s with 2JZs, the red one and the blue & white one. Don't really want to keep saying this but it's hard to compete with the Hondas. There's just too much of them. I lost count while I was there. We're trying to hit 9's and they're running 8's and even 7's.

I didn't know if that one was sr power but it did move though but yea right as soon as super street came on boom honda flooded that class but yea I know Nissan can deff break those numbers it's just no kne is trying you have one or two honda people trying to break these numbers and everyone else follows either way Hondas are crap I'll never change my mind on that one as I always said they were. Crap but I'm deff gonna put that effort on to let be known Nissan deff has what it takes

Man, I was never into hondas, always Toyotas and Nissans. I ended up with a little 93 civic hatch as a daily after I wrecked a p10, and fell in love. I'm on my second 07 Si sedan, I bought the first one after I sold the hatch. These are hands down the best daily driving car I've ever owned, and for not a whole hell of a lot of money you can make the power to run 11's, if that's your thing.
I used to hate on Hondas, because everyone drove them and it was mainly dummies with a fart tip on a stock single cam engine giving everyone a bad name.
I still love my sr20's, but the k20 is just as good and has a lot more support. Nissan just hasn't had anything decent for the fwd "tuner" crowd in the last 10 years or so, and sadly, I think Honda is going the same way, atleast in the states.

If you are really planning on competing for this coming year, please support this group buy and buy a couple sets when it is completed. This will help get you there.

Make sure you got a deep budget, looking at $30K+ to be any where near competitive with those "Honda crap guys"

Lol. I was at a local shop's BBQ/meet, and there was a crx, gutted, roll cage, h22, slicks, etc. Said it was a low 12 car, almost breaking into 11's, on 320hp all motor set up, which probably had less than 200tq, knowing Hondas, but I don't know anything about those engines.
Given the thing weighs 1800lbs, its still impressive. I don't think they had a bunch in the car. I'm out of the sr20 loop, but I can remember the big deal about Fred Casey breaking into the 10's in that red b13, and that thing was built to the T.
Not discrediting anything anyone did, its all great, but don't count the Hondas out, they're fucking fast. My buddy's fg2 with bolt ons and drop in cams waxes my bolt on VE B14, and I've got a 500lbs weight advantage on him.
